DUBAI – The concerned officials of United Arab Emirates have rejected rumours that the Dubai government was not accepting new applications for visit visa from Pakistani travellers.
The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs of Dubai clarified there was no truth to such claims that due to Christmas and New Year’s Eve, Pakistanis would have to wait until January for visit visas.
“Visitors from Pakistan are welcome to enter Dubai after obtaining a visa”, the authority was quoted as saying by the Khaleej Times.
The repudiation came a day after multiple leading media outlets reported that the government of Dubai was not accepting new applications for visit visa.
Earlier, the Chairman Travel Agents Association (TAA), Naeem Ashraf had said that the applications sent for Dubai visit visa on Monday were rejected without reason.
