ISLAMABAD – Former interior minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said that the matter regarding the appointment of a caretaker prime minister will be handed over to a parliamentary committee.
In an informal talk to media persons after a meeting with National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq today (Friday), Nisar said that Justice (r) Tassaduq Hussain Jilani seemed to be the first priority for the caretaker Prime Minister.
Responding to a question, Nisar said that it was not necessary for people joining Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to win elections as every party has its own electables.

When asked if Imran Khan can become the prime minister, he said that he had the same question for you.
The politician announced that he would contest elections from four constituencies, including two national and two provincial constituencies, adding that his view was being encouraged in Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) circles and 95% of the MNAs were like-minded.
The rumors regarding differences between Ch Nisar and party leadership had been making rounds on media earlier. However, Ch Nisar held a press conference early May and clarified his stance over the party.
