President Mamnoon Hussain set to leave for Tajikistan on official visit

ISLAMABAD – President Mamnoon Hussian will travel to Tajikistan on an official four-day visit starting June 19, 2018.

According to a statement issued by Foreign Office, Hussian was invited by his Tajik counterpart Emomali Rahmon and will attend International Decade for Action ‘Water for Sustainable Development’ 2018-2028 conference, which will be held in Dushanbe on June 20.

The conference is being hosted by Tajikistan in cooperation with the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA) will focus on sustainable development and integrated management of water resources for the achievement of social, economic and environmental objectives.

The president will also meet with his Tajik counterpart during the visit and is expected to discuss bilateral ties between the two countries along with ways to further strengthen and diversify the relationship between Pakistan and Tajikistan.
