Will not tolerate interference of any institution in general elections, says Nawaz Sharif

LONDON – The former prime minister Nawaz Sharif warned on Tuesday that PML-N will not tolerate any kind of interference by any institution in the election.

“Don’t test our patience, we will not tolerate interference from any institution in the election,” PML-N supremo said while talking to journalists in London.

He mentioned, “What is going on at the moment, it will cause a loss to the upcoming election.”

He continued, “Election Commission should take the affairs in its hands as holding the election is only the mandate of ECP, not any other institution”.

Replying to a query, he said that they have numerous sacrifices in the war against terrorism and the saluted to those who had laid down their lives in the way.

On the other hand, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) is geared up to accord a rousing reception to the former premier Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz on their arrival in Lahore on July 13 (Friday). In this regard, the PML-N has asked different wings of the party to bring maximum people to the Lahore airport on July 13.

The party candidates contesting July 25 elections have also been directed to ensure maximum participation on Friday, sources in the PML-N said.

The PML-N President Shahbaz Sharif, who is himself looking into reception program held a meeting to formulate a strategy for a warm welcome to Nawaz and his daughter.
