Lahore, parts of Punjab expect rain in next 24 hours

LAHORE – Rain-thundershower with gusty winds/duststorm is expected at isolated places in Punjab, including the provincial capital Lahore, during the next 24 hours.

The maximum temperature in provincial capital on Saturday was recorded as 37 degrees Celsius. According to Met office, rain-thundershower with gusty winds is expected at isolated places in Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Lahore, and Kashmir.

According to synoptic situation, seasonal low lies over north Balochistan. Monsoon currents are reaching upper parts of the country.

However, rain-thundershower with gusty winds occurred at isolated places in Rawalpindi, Gujranwala divisions, Islamabad and Kashmir.

Rainfall (mm) during last 24 hours: Sialkot 30, Gujanwala 25, Rawalpindi (Shamsabad 06, Chaklala 04), Mandi Bahudin 04 and Gujrat 03.

Meanwhile, farmers have been advised to take all measures to protect their standing crops and vegetables from damaging effects and save rainwater in rain-fed areas.
