ECP asks overseas Pakistanis for registration by Sept 15

ISLAMABAD – The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has asked the overseas Pakistanis to get themselves registered on its website by 15th of next month to cast vote in coming by-elections.

Overseas Pakistanis, already in the voters’ lists and belonging to those constituencies where the bye-election 2018 is being held can register themselves for the purpose.

The process of registration for the voters, residing in foreign countries, will begin from Saturday.

The commission has facilitated the Overseas Pakistanis to cast their vote in the by-elections being held on 14th of October this year through the internet.

Bye-Elections: Last date for postal ballot applications Sept 27

The Election Commission of Pakistan has set the last date for receiving applications for the postal ballot for bye-elections as 27th of next month.

In a notification, the ECP said the facility has been extended to the persons in government service, members of armed forces, holders of public offices and their spouses and children, physically disabled persons, and prison inmates.

Similarly, the Commission has asked the Presiding Officers, Assistant Presiding Officers, Polling Officers and Police Personnel, who are assigned duties at the polling stations to apply for the postal ballot by 4th of October.
