PTI lawmaker Dr Aamir Liaquat not allowed to meet PM Imran in Karachi

KARACHI – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf MNA Dr. Aamir Liaquat Hussain, who will be indicted in a contempt of court case later this month, was not permitted to have a meeting with Prime Minister Imran Khan during his first one-day visit to Karachi, local media reported.

The prime minister reached Karachi on Sunday where Chief Minister of Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah and Governor Sindh Imran Ismail received him at Jinnah International Airport in Karachi.

He paid homage at Quaid’s mausoleum before heading to State Guest House for key meetings and discussions with officials.

When the PTI minister Hussain reached the guest house to meet his leader, security officials did not allow him to enter the premises of the building.

He waited at the gate for clearance from security protocol and later he went back without meeting the prime minister.

Talking to media persons, the PTI lawmaker said he had in fact reached the guest house ahead of schedule.

On Aug 29, televangelist and PTI lawmaker expressed his reservations publicly against the party after he was not invited to a high-profile meeting at the Sindh governor House.

The PTI lawmaker took to Twitter on Tuesday and announced that the newly-sworn in Governor Imran Ismail invited all MNAs and MPAs from Karachi to the meeting except him.

The MNA also quoted a phrase “Is Tarha to Hota Hai Is Tarha Kay Kamo Mein” (this is what happens in these types of affairs).
