ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz President, Shehbaz Sharif is expected to make another appearance in the National Assembly as the party has requested the Speaker to issue production orders for the leader.
According to media reports, an application was submitted by PML-N leader and ex-NA Speaker Ayaz Sadiq seeking the production orders for the former chief minister Punjab so he could attend the session of the Lower House of the parliament, expected by the end of this month.
Shehbaz Sharif, who is currently in National Accountability Bureau (NAB) custody on a physical remand in Ashiana Housing scam, attended the previous NA session and made a fiery speech.

At the onset of the speech, Shehbaz Sharif lauded the role of Speaker Asad Qaisar for issuing production order for him, however, claimed in his commentary that there was an unholy alliance between NAB and the ruling regime.
Shehbaz said that he was asked to turn approver against the former foreign minister, Khawaja Asif adding that his arrest was planned ahead of the general elections.
The younger Sharif was arrested on October 5 after appearing before the NAB team. Though Shehbaz was summoned in the Saaf Paani Company case, his arrest was linked to the Ashiana-i-Iqbal scam.
The accountability watchdog said Shehbaz failed to satisfy the investigation team regarding a tender awarded to a private consultancy firm and was therefore taken into custody.
He will be presented before a NAB court on October 29th again.
