Sindh govt transfers dead doctor

KARACHI – In a bizarre move, the Sindh health department issued a notification transferring a number of doctors, including the one who passed away some 20 months ago.

According to the details, the Sindh government notification included the name of Dr Talib who had passed away in February 2017.

In the notification, the said doctor was shown to be currently posted at a medical facility in Mirpur Khas from where he was transferred to Civil Hospital, Tharparkar.

Pakistan People’s Party did a similar move a few months ago when it issued an election ticket to a party leader who passed away a year ago.

Jam Bijar Khan Jokhio was awarded ticket for PS-79, despite that he had died 12 months ago. In actual, Owais Jokhio, the son of the deceased politician, had submitted an application to get the party ticket to contest the July 25 General Elections.
