PTI's Aleem Khan submitted fake affidavits in NA-122 poll fraud case, blames ECP
ISLAMABAD (Staff Report) - The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Monday said that PTI's Abdul Aleem Khan had submitted fake affidavits in NA-122 poll fraud case, in the detailed verdict in which an Election Tribunal dismissed the rigging allegations of the complainant.

ECP further added that it reserves right to take action against Abdul Aleem Khan for using unfair means and misguiding the commission to prove his allegation right. The fake affidavits had said that arround 2,000 votes were transferred from NA-122 without consultation of voters, it aded.

Earlier on January 26, Lahore's Election Tribunal dismissed a plea filed by PTI's Abdul Aleem Khan against the election of PML-N's Sardar Ayaz Sadiq in NA-122 by-election, saying supporting evidences were not enough to hear the petition.

On October 11, 2015; Sardar Ayaz Sadiq won a re-election in NA-122 Lahore with a thin margin of 22 votes. However PTI's Aleem Khan alleged that votes were illegally transferred from the constituency as part of a electoral conspiracy against him.

Aleem Khan moved Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) and filed an election complain preying the ECP to declare election of Ayaz Sadiq as null and void. The ECP formed an Election Tribunal to hear the case.

However the tribunal ruled that petition filed by Aleem Khan could not be heard. The petition was not supported by solid evidences, it said in a short order.

NA-122 Lahore is one of the four constituencies where PTI chairman Imran Khan had demanded a vote audit after 2013 General Elections. Imran Khan had lost to Ayaz Sadiq at this constituency in 2013 polls.
