Lahori cricket fans irked over non-availability of Rs 500 tickets for PSL final

LAHORE – Cricket enthusiasts in Lahore who rushed to banks for grabbing PSL final tickets felt annoyed as they found out that low priced tickets were no longer available.

According to reports, Lahori cricket fans who gathered outside banks even before business hours were irritated as they were informed that Rs 500 tickets were not available anymore.

The manager of Liberty Chowk Branch said that they had sold out tickets of Rs 500 and Rs 4000 denominations.

‘We are waiting for the second tranche’ he said.

A senior official of the bank told Geo News that all Rs 500 tickets were already sold out. Annoyed by the high priced ticket, man waiting outside said: “If I had Rs 8000, I would have remarried.”

It may be noted here that the online tickets were completely sold on the very first day (Wednesday).

Amid cutthroat battle to purchase tickets for the enthralling final of Pakistan Super League, cricket fans in Lahore have indulged in clashes at scattered places outside banks.

As soon as Bank of Punjab unleashed their plan for selling tickets, cricket freaks jumped out of their beds in bid to buy tickets for the high-octane encounter but the mammoth crowd engaged in skirmishes across the city.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) started sale of the final on 1st March after it was decided following long deliberations between the top government and military functionaries that the final is going to be played in the provincial capital.
