COAS Gen Bajwa condemns killing of US troops in Afghanistan

RAWALPINDI – Chief of Army Staff (COAS) has condemned the terrorist attack on United States forces in Kandahar that left two troops dead.

According to an ISPR press release issued on Thursday, the Army chief offered heartfelt condolences on the death of two Special Forces soldiers who died in the incident.

He said, “We fully understand the loss and pain of victims’ families as Pakistan is undergoing a similar trial of blood in the fight against the common threat of terrorism. COAS  wished an early recovery of injured in the incident”.

On Wednesday, two US soldiers were killed and four others were injured in a suicide bomb blast targeting Nato convoy in suburbs of Kandahar city in Afghanistan, where America’s largest military base is located. The attack was claimed by Taliban.

After the killing of two troops, the death toll of US army has surged to 7 in this year.
