ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday left for Tajikistan on a two-day official visit following the invitation of President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.
According to Radio Pakistan, he will hold discussions with Tajik leaders on different issues including bilateral relations, economic cooperation, trade and investment, energy cooperation and regional connectivity.
Both countries will also ink a Joint Declaration titled “Road towards strategic partnership for regional solidarity”.
A meeting of Pak-Tajik Joint Business Council will also be held on the sidelines of the visit of the prime minister aiming at promoting trade.
Tajikistan is also hosting a Quadrilateral Summit of CASA-1000 member states, including Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan and Tajikistan.
A trilateral meeting between Pakistan, Afghanistan and Tajikistan is also part of the visit, where regional issues of mutual interest will be discussed.
