KAMRA – Air Chief Sohail Aman and Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal on Thursday laid the foundation stone of aviation city at Aeronautical Complex in Kamra.
Speaking on the occasion, Air Chief Sohail Aman said that establishment of the aviation city will help achieve self-reliance in defence production, besides adding that it will support economic activities, Radio Pakistan reported.
He said that it will also lead towards production of fifth generation fighter jets in the country.
Ahsan Iqbal has said that a strong air force and aerospace platform is essential to make Pakistan stronger.
He said that PAF has played an important role to weed out terrorism in the country, adding that the establishment has come at a very appropriate time to create new opportunities for Pakistan in the field of aerospace.
