Lunar eclipse to be viewed in Pakistan today

LAHORE – The metrological department says a lunar eclipse will be visible in Pakistan between Monday and Tuesday.

MET officials say that the eclipse, which will be visible across the country, is scheduled to start at 8:50pm August 7 (Monday) and end at 1.51am August 8 (Tuesday).

The partial eclipse will begin at 10:23pm and end at 12:18pm.

Residents of Asian countries including Pakistan, Europe, Antarctica, Africa, and Australia will be able to see the eclipse.

Experts say observers should use dark glasses to view the spectacle. The first lunar eclipse of the current year was visible on February 11 from 3:34pm till 7:53pm.
