Game of Thrones epic battle sequence filmed in 55 days

LOS ANGELES – Being one of the most loved and watched TV series, it seems that Game of Thrones is going even bigger this time with its epic battle sequences.

The battle sequence, also being described as the HBO series’ ‘biggest ever battle sequence’ took around two and a half months of night shoots to be completed. The location used for the battle was Toome, which will be portrayed as Winterfell.

The assistant director Jonathan Quinlan shared a thank you note to the cast and crew upon the completion of the battle sequence. The note was posted on Instgram and then deleted, however, it has been managed to be saved before the deletion.

The note read as, “This is for the Night Dragons. For enduring 55 straight nights. For enduring the cold, the snow, the rain, the mud, the sheep s**t of Toome and the winds of Magheramorne. When tens of millions of people around the world watch this episode a year from now, they won’t know how hard you worked.

It has been said by the HBO executives that many major characters in the series will die in the eighth and final season of Game of Thrones

Game of Thrones season 8 will air on HBO and Sky Atlantic in 2019.
