ECP accepts apology tendered by Imran Khan, Ayyaz Sadiq and others in foul language case

ISLAMABAD – The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has accepted apologies of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan, former chief minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak, Sardar Ayyaz Sadiq and Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman for using derogatory language against each other during their election campaigns.

As per details, all the leaders through their lawyers had already submitted their apologies to ECP in written forms. A four-member bench headed by Chief Election Commissioners announced the reserved verdict of the cases and warned them to avoid using indecent language in future.

On the occasion, Sardar Muhammad Raza played Ayaz Sadiq’s video clip, in which he said: “What is the worth of ECP ?”

Chief Election Commissioners then ‘taunted’: “What is the worth of Ayaz Sadiqnow?” following which the lawyer of the former speaker once again apologized to ECP on the behalf of his client.
