Pakistan Army Repels Cross Border Fire From Afghan Forces Near Naushki Ghazni

PESHAWAR – Pakistani security forces successfully countered Afghan Taliban fighters aggression attempt at Naushki-Ghazni sector of border on Wednesday.

Afghan forces opened fire on Pakistani posts, prompting a robust response that targeted Afghan checkpoints. This exchange of fire occurred while Pakistani troops were engaged in repairing the border fence.

Pakistan’s retaliation inflicted massive losses on Afghan forces as officials stated that Pakistan remains committed to maintaining its border security, emphasizing that this incident is not the first instance of unprovoked aggression from Afghan forces.

Afghan Taliban initiated unprovoked attack using heavy weapons against Pakistani checkpoints from Afghan region of Plosin. This assault continued into the evenings of September 8 and 9. Army’s vigorous counterattack resulted in substantial casualties for the Taliban, with reports indicating 16 fighters killed, 27 wounded, and two tanks destroyed.

As tensions continue to rise along the border, Pakistani security forces reaffirm their dedication to safeguarding the nation’s territorial integrity.
