SRINAGAR – In Occupied Kashmir, the joint resistance leadership has strongly condemned the continued military siege of Jamia Masjid Srinagar.
Hurriyet leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik in a joint statement termed this act direct interference in religious affairs of Muslims.
They also announced the postponement of the proposed march towards Lal Chowk in Srinagar on Monday on the request of Sikh community in view of their religious festival.
Hurriyet leaders said Kashmiri Muslims believe in the golden ethos of religious freedom and tranquillity.
Meanwhile, normal life remained affected in the Kashmir Valley on the 127th consecutive day, today due to complete shutdown against the civilian killings and other brutalities of Indian forces.
The Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Social Peace Forum, Devinder Singh, addressing a function in Doda strongly denounced the reign of terror unleashed by Indian police and troops across the Kashmir Valley.
Addressing a function in Doda, he also condemned the harassment of members of Dalit community in Jammu.
