16 countries to hold joint military exercises in Lahore

RAWALPINDI – The six-day Physical Agility and Combat Efficiency System military exercises will begin in Lahore on 18th of this month.

Sixteen countries will participate in the drills aimed at enhancing physical and military capabilities of troops, Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) stated on Wednesday.

“A 25-member Sri Lankan army team arrived in Lahore on Wednesday”, reported Radio Pakistan.

It is pertinent to mention that the first ever joint exercise between Pakistan and Russian military commenced on September 27 and concluded on October 10.

Earlier, Russia held its first joint military exercise with Pakistan last month. On this, India has communicated its unhappiness to Russia over the exercise. However, Russia says it holds similar drills with other countries in the region

India’s remarks come ahead of the bilateral meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin, who will be arriving in India on October 14 for the BRICS summit in Goa on Saturday.
