Processions of Ashur concluded peacefully in Pakistan

LAHORE/ISLAMABAD/KARACHI (Staff Report) – The main mourning procession concluded across the country peacefully.

To pay homage to the sacrifices of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and his companions in Karbala, Yaum-e-Ashur was observed on Wednesday with solemnity and sanctity.

Alam, Zuljinah and Taazia processions were taken out in all small and big towns in Punjab, Balochistan, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir.

The Ulema and Zakireen highlighted the teachings of Hazrat Imam Hussain and various aspects of Karbla tragedy which took place some 1,400 years ago.

In Karachi, the main mourning procession which started from the Nishter Park concluded peacefully at Husanian Iranian in Kharadar.

The mourners processions of 10th Muharram-ul-Haram was taken out in different areas of the federal capital includingG-6/4 and I-10/2, which culminated peacefully.

In Lahore, the main Zuljanah procession emerged from Nisar Haveli inside Mochi Gate and concluded at Gamay Shah.

Main Ashura processions also culminated in Quetta, Peshawar, Faisalabad, Hyderabad, Multan, Bahwalpur, Sargodha, Gujranwala, Abbottabad, Gilgit Baltistan and other cities.
