ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Thursday reconstituted the Council of Common Interest (CCI).
The CCI, to be chaired by the premier, would have Chief Ministers of the four provinces. The other members would now include Minister for Inter-Provincial Coordination Riaz Hussain Pirzada, Minister for Industries and Production Ghulam Murtaza Khan Jatoi and Minister for Finance Muhammad Ishaq Dar.
Abbasi, who was appointed as the chief executive of the country after the disqualification of Nawaz Sharif by a five-member bench of the Supreme Court also made a major reshuffle in Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the cabinet as he removed Finance Minister Ishaq Dar as its chairman.
Moreover, Dar was also removed from Cabinet Committee on Privatization (CCOP).
