LAHORE – In a shocking incident, a man killed his wife over a domestic dispute in Ghaziabad area on Saturday night, the first day of Eidul Fitr, local media reported.
According to police, the woman identified as Erum was subjected to torture before she was murdered by Hamid, deceased’s wife.
Hamid used to clash with his wife and beat her, but the torture Saturday night took her life. The police have arrested the suspect.
A first information report (FIR) has been filed by police against Hamid on the charges of torture and murder.
On the other hand, the family of Erum said that Hamid was a drug addict and frequently asked for money in this regard. On Saturday night, when Erum refused to give him monery, he severely tortured her that resulted in her death.
The body has now been sent for post-mortem, police stated.
