KHANEWAL – One person was killed while two others were left injured in a clash between Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers in Khanewal early Friday morning.
According to the police, the workers of the opposing political parties had initially clashed during the Independence Day rally. However, the workers again clashed near Khanewal’s Al-Hadees Chowk with sticks and iron rods.
The clash that turned violent led to the killing of a second-year student, identified as Aalim Amir, while two others were injured.
The deceased is believed to be a worker of PML-N.
Police have registered a case against 13 PTI workers at City police station and are conducting operations to arrest suspects.
