11 Sindh police officials suspended for criminal links

KARACHI – Sindh police department has suspended 11 of its officials allegedly linked to criminal activities in metropolis here on Sunday.

Apart from suspensions, two of the personnel have also been nabbed apparently due to links with dacoits, drug dealers and individuals involved in crimes.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of East , Faisal Abdullah suspended the officials giving a clue of how and why the city has been under constant threat from different elements.

According to the details, six personnel belonging to Mehmoodabad Police Station, PIB Colony Police Station and New Town Police Station were suspended for assisting drug dealers.

Two ASIs (Assistant Sub-Inspector) of Gulistan-e-Jauhar were also suspended while two cops were held for allegedly snatching mobile phones of citizens.

Station House Officer (SHO) of Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Nawaz Chattha has also been demoted after complaints of land grabbing and illegal construction under his supervision.

According to the SSP of East District, stern action would be taken against all those found guilty of nefarious acts.
