OKARA – Police on Wednesday arrested a man on the charge of raping a minor girl near Basit Town of Punjab’s district Okara.
Muhammad Asif, the uncle of the victim girl, informed police that the suspect Abdul Malik is a madrasa teacher who used to give religious education to the area girls at the victim’s house. “The accused sexually assaulted his niece when the other student girls left the house,” Asif mentioned in the FIR. The culprit, who is a resident of Thatta Jheedo, trickily stopped the girl from going home and raped her, it added.
However, according to police sources, the alleged accused confessed his crime during interrogation.
The police have sent his blood sample for DNA test after which proper investigation will be launched.
