Resolution seeking Dar s resignation submitted in Punjab Assembly

LAHORE – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) submitted a resolution in the Punjab Assembly on Monday seeking Finance Minister Ishaq Dar’s resignation.

The resolution was tabled by PTI lawmaker Dr Murad Raas stating that the assembly demanded Ishaq Dar to immediately relinquish his post.

It was stressed that the minister has been indicted by the accountability court in corruption reference filed by National Accountability Bureau and it was not right for him to keep the post.

The resolution also highlighted that an important ministry was vacant at the moment owing to Dar’s illness as he was in London for heart treatment.

It was further added that the economic condition of the country was not good and it could not afford to have a physically unfit minister.

The resolution demanded that an eligible person should be appointed as the federal minister without any delay.
