The crew overheard the woman complaining about her menstrual cramps
A British couple Beth Evans 24 and her boyfriend Joshua Moran 26 boarded Emirates flight to Dubai. As they were ready to takeoff the couple was offloaded from the flight.
This incident took place on February 17 which left the couple in a shock. However the airline explained that it was done because it was categorized as a medical emergency. In a statement to the Washington Post, the airline wrote:
“The captain made the decision to request medical support and offloaded Ms Evans so she could access medical assistance as needed.”
After the flight attended overhead Ms Evans talking about her period pain she asked her if she was doing fine to which she explained how she can make a 7 hours flight as her pain is very minor (rating it 1 out 10).
They consulted a medical team from United States rather than providing medical assistance. The couple had to rebook their holiday flights.

In a statement to Gulf news the spokesperson for Emirates said “The passenger alerted the crew onboard that was suffering from discomfort and pain, mentioned that she was not feeling well”
The spokesperson explained thatthey didn’t wanted any inconvenience for Ms Evans and a 7 hours long flight may have worsened the situation.
