LAHORE – Lady Health Workers (LHWs) after successful negotiations with the Punjab government called off sit-in at Charing Cross, The Mall on Thursday.
The Spokesperson of LHWs Rukhsana Anwar announced that the Punjab government had ensured the acceptance of their demands including pay-raise, proper service structure and scale up-gradation.
The chief minister has formed a seven member committee headed by Provincial Minister Raja Basharat which would soon present their recommendations regarding the acceptance of demands of the LHWs.
The LHWs expressed their satisfaction on the assurance of the Punjab government and announced to call off their sit-in.
