Burewala Constable Attempts Suicide After Leave Denial

Burewala – A police constable allegedly shot himself after not being granted leave in Burewala.

According to rescue services, police constable Laiq Ahmed, stationed in the Punjab Constabulary in Burewala, was seriously injured after being shot in the chest.

The injured constable was immediately taken to the hospital, but due to his critical condition, he was referred to Sahiwal.

According to the family, Laiq Ahmed was under work pressure and had requested leave. Allegedly, after not receiving the leave, he became distressed and attempted suicide.

On the other hand, the district police spokesperson stated that Laiq Ahmed was injured accidentally while cleaning his pistol. The DPO Vehari is providing all possible medical facilities for his treatment.
