LAHORE – The day for Medical and Dental College Admission Test MDCAT 2024 is finally here, with around 1 lac 70 thousand medical aspirants appearing in over 30 cities across the country.
Special arrangements have been made by provincial governments and Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) to ensure a smooth and transparent examination process.
Under stern measures, internet services within 500 meters of the test centers will remain suspended during the test.
In collaboration with government authorities and security agencies, the PMDC is committed to upholding transparency and maintaining a secure environment for all candidates. Section 144 was enforced at all exam venues, with immediate legal consequences for any violations.
This year, officials used advanced surveillance technology to ensure transparency. Those who are trying their luck today have been cautioned against engaging in unethical practices such as cheating, which may result in severe penalties.

Local institutions are prepared to accommodate the large number of test-takers, with Shahid Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University managing 33 exam centers, the University of Health Sciences overseeing 26 centers, Khyber Medical University handling 13 centers, and Dow University organizing 6 centers.
