SRINAGAR – Chairman Hurriyat Conference (M) Mirwaiz Umar Farooq was put under house arrest by Indian authorities on Wednesday.
Farooq was put under house arrest, two months ago and was just released on Friday.

According to media reports, he had urged people to pray “special prayers” on Friday at Jamia Masjid, Srinagar, but his house arrest orders came two days before Friday.
