LAHORE – A case has been registered against Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur in Lahore.
According to media reports, the case was filed against the KP chief minister and 300 unidentified individuals for assaulting police officers and vandalizing a toll plaza.
The FIR states that Lahore police personnel were stationed on the Sialkot-Lahore Motorway when a group of 250-300 people, led by Ali Amin Gandapur, arrived, and the armed, enraged individuals in the group broke the toll plaza’s windows.
The FIR further mentions that on Ali Amin Gandapur’s orders, the angry mob damaged the CCTV cameras at the toll plaza and broke the windows of cars waiting in line, attempting to set them on fire. When the police officers moved to stop the mob, they were met with vehicles being driven toward them and weapons being brandished.
It also states that the police officers narrowly escaped the attack by jumping to safety, while Ali Amin Gandapur and MNA Shahid Khattak moved ahead amid the chaos.
The case was registered by SHO Hadiyra Hamaas Hameed at the Manawan police station, with charges including terrorism, attempted murder, and other offenses.
