LAHORE – PIAF-Pioneer Progressive Alliance dominated with clean sweep in the Lahore Chamber of Commerce elections, winning 15 contested seats in first phase.
As per the provisional results of polling of corporate class, Tanveer Ahmed Sheikh of the PPA led the results with 1,416 votes, followed closely by Muhammad Muneeb Monnoo with 1,398 votes. Asif Malik secured 1,387 votes, and Khalid Usman got 1,380 votes.
Other successful candidates included Ihtisham-ul-Haq (1,367 votes), Syed Hassan Raza (1,355 votes), and Asif Khan (1,351 votes), among others.
Polling took place on Monday from 9 AM to 8 PM, with notable figures such as State Minister Ali Pervez Malik, former Provincial Minister S.M. Tanveer, and several media moguls participating in the voting process.
The election commission, led by Almas Haider, Nasrullah Malik, and Shahzad Azam, supervised polling and counting.
PPP Alliance stunned many by defeating all candidates from the PIAF Founders LBF Alliance, marking a significant victory in Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry elections.
