LAHORE – The Punjab government has imposed Section 144 for three days across the province, banning rallies, public gatherings and others.
It will come into from July 26 to July 28, the Home Department said, adding that the decision has been taken to protect human lives and public properties.
The department has also issued a notification, stating that there were also threats of terrorism. It said public gatherings could be a soft target for the terrorists.
Administration across the province has been instructed to ensure the implementation of the order.
Meanwhile, reports claimed that the restrictions have been enforced as the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has announced protests against the government.
