ISLAMABAD (APP) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan predicted that Kiwis were favorite to lift the World Cup.
The former skipper said that four best teams of the tournaments qualified for semi-final.
“This is the first WC where the 4 best teams have reached semis. NZs run to win v SA was one of the best run chases under pressure.”
New Zealand won the battle of nerves against South Africe, he said, adding that Kiwis were his favourites to win the final as they ooze self-belief.
“India would hope to bat first, post a 250+ total then apply pressure through their spinners. Should be a great semi final tomorrow.”
Khan, who led Pakistan to victory in 1992 World Cup, said that India has the best chance to win the semi-final due to their spinners.
“The SCG is the pitch where India has its best chance to beat Australia as it helps spinners,” he added.
