Imran Khan likely to miss budget session with advice for fellows to protest

ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan is likely to miss the budget session of National Assembly today (Friday) wherein the federal government will present its last budget.

Although Imran Khan’s presence in the session is highly improbable, even then the PTI supremo has advised his party lawmakers to stage a protest inside the house.

The PTI, along with other opposition parties, would be protesting against the government’s presentation of the budget for the entire upcoming fiscal year.

According to well-placed sources, the PTI chief will visit Peshawar today to address the youth assembly.

The party chairman is also expected to meet provincial ministers and party lawmakers from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and is expected to be briefed on the ongoing development projects in the province.

Imran will also be meeting Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak to discuss the pull out of Jamaat-e-Islami from the government.

JI provincial chief Mushtaq Ahmed Khan had said on Wednesday that the party would part ways with PTI and the decision was taken in good faith.
