ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – The emergence of wall-chalking, carrying the name of self-styled Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), in Islamabad on Friday has sounded alarm bells for everyone.
Last Monday, the Foreign Office admitted the radical Islamist group posed a serious threat to the country.
The pro-IS wall chalking has appeared at a time when Pakistan is engaged in a crackdown against the nexus of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan and Laskar-e-Jhangvi.
The IS, a militant group, has set up a self-proclaimed Caliphate on the vast swathes of land in Syria and Iraq.
Earlier, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar, while speaking at the United States Institute of Peace in Washington, said, “The ISIS only exists in the Middle East. It absolutely has no presence in Afghanistan and Pakistan.”
