ASI arrested after accidentally sending bribe request to senior officer

Asi Arrested After Accidentally Sending Bribe Request To Senior Officer

In what can only be described as a moment of pure genius, an Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) in Lahore has been arrested after accidentally sending his bribe demand of Rs 70,000 to a senior officer—completely skipping over the citizen he intended to extort.

ASI Waseem, serving in the Anti-Vehicle Lifting Staff (AVLS), made the ambitious request for money, but instead of going to the citizen, it landed right in his boss’s inbox. The senior officer, clearly not amused by the “clerical error,” swiftly ordered Waseem’s arrest and had him locked up in record time.

A formal case has been registered against the ASI, and in a rather fitting statement, the DIG of the Organized Crime Unit has warned that strict action will be taken against anyone caught accepting bribes.
