LAHORE – Several cities of Pakistan, including Lahore and Faisalabad, are likely to receive rains from September 27 as moist currents from Bay of Bengal and westerly wave have entered the country.
Under the influence of these weather systems, rain-wind/thundershower (with isolated heavyfalls) are expected in Islamabad/Rawalpindi, Murree, Galliyat, Attock, Chakwal, Tala Gang, Jhelum, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Sialkot, Narowal, Hafizabad, Wazirabad from September 26 to October 1 while in Sahiwal, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, Nankana Sahib, Khushab, Sargodha, Mianwali, Chiniot, Faisalabad, Okara, Pakpattan, Kasur and Bhakkar from September 27 to October 1.
“Rain-wind/thundershower (with isolated heavyfalls) are expected in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Shangla, Battagram, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Haripur, Buner, Malakand, Bajaur, Mohmand, Khyber, Peshawar, Swabi, Nowshera, Mardan, Charsadda, Kurram, Orakzai, Kohat from 26th September (evening/night) to 01st October while in Hangu, Bannu, Lakki Marwat, Waziristan and Dera Ismail Khan from 27th September to 01st October with occasional gapes,” read the forecast.
In Sindh, hot and dry weather is expected in most parts of the province. However, Rain wind thunderstorm is expected at isolated places in Mirpurkhas, Tharparker, Umerkot and adjoining areas from 26th to 28th September.
