AJK President Masood Khan presents 6 points proposal to resolve Kashmir issue

ISLAMABAD (Staff Report) – AJK President Sardar Muhammad Masood Khan has presented a six points proposal to resolve Kashmir issue in accordance with UN resolutions.

It includes evolving unity among all political forces in AJK and enhancing contacts with representative leadership in Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

The proposal stresses highlighting Kashmir issue through Kashmiris and Pakistanis settled in North American, European and Gulf States.

It calls for taking up with US administration, US Congress, EU parliament the issue of human rights violations by Indian forces in Indian held Kashmir (IHK).

Masood Khan said the doors of the United Nations, Human Rights Council and other concerned international institutions should be constantly knocked for the implementation of UN resolutions on Kashmir.

The UN should be urged to appoint special representative for monitoring the situation in IHK.

Efforts will also be made to demand India to resume dialogue with Pakistan for result oriented talk on Kashmir.

He said the platform of OIC would also be used in this regard, Radio Pakistan reported.

Masood Khan said political and civil society of India would be appealed to prevail upon their government to stop atrocities and human rights violations in occupied territory.

The president also appealed to all political forces of AJK, media, civil and learned segments of the society to cooperate for implementation of this proposal.
