ISLAMABAD (Staff Reporter) – Advisor to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs and National Security Sartaj Aziz has said that no official announcement of 19th SAARC summit’s cancellation has been made yet.
In a statement, Sartaj said that the meeting of heads of eight member states under auspices of South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation could be postponed, if India refused to attend but the SAARC Secretariat had not officially informed the government so far.

He said as per SAARC rules the summit will not be held if any member country refused to attend, adding that the summit was also postponed four times in past due to Indian refusal of its presence.
