Media reports quoting a viral video claimed honorable Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa was denied a donut at Crusteez Donuts, leading to widespread discussion online. Amid the hot debate, trolls and members of a political party rushed to the donut shop to vent out frustration while most people condemned the derogatory remarks made by staff during the incident.
A clip purportedly captured by bakery employee shows CJP purchasing eatables with his family. Upon confirming his identity, the employee responded with, insulative remarks.
On X and other sites, there were calls for protest emerged, with one user proposing the sale of donuts at traffic signals and bus stops as a means of silent protest. Another post featured crowds gathering outside the Crusteez outlet, captioned, “The people have spoken.”
