Karachi’s blind street vendor turns millionaire overnight

ISLAMABAD – A blind vendor residing in Karachi has been summoned by Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) after a mysterious deposit of Rs. 25 million was observed into his account.

According to a report aired by a private news channel, in the ongoing wave in the country of fake bank accounts and mysterious money deposits, yet another amusing case has surfaced where a poor blind street vendor living in Karachi’s area of Korangi Gulshan Sikander became Rs. 25 million richer overnight.

While talking to this channel, Liaquat a blind vendor said that he has been surviving for all these years by selling sesame cookies and other food items on streets of the city.

He further said that he had lost his National Identity Card (NIC) thrice previously for which he informed the police soon too.

It is pertinent to mention here that not only Liaquat himself is blind, but his wife is also blind. Both husband and wife have been living in a trustee flat in Korangi.

Blind vendor Liaquat and his blind wife have also appealed to the higher authority to look into the matter.
