KARACHI – A fire broke out in the garments factory near Saba Cinema area of new Karachi here on
Sunday.
According to rescue officials, after receiving information rescue teams rush to the fire site and carried out an operation to come over the fire. Ten vehicles of fire bridge were taking part in the operation to control the fire but as of 9am, only 50% had been extinguished.
Officials say they have stopped the fire from spreading any further and reduced its intensity.
They estimate it will take another hour and a half to extinguish it completely.
The fire broke out on the third floor of the three-story building and fire-fighters had to break a wall to control the flames.
They say that the factory didn’t have any fire safety measures.
