KARACHI – Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari equated the arrest of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz leader, Rana Sanaullah, a desperate attempt at political victimization.
The PPP chief took aim at the government and said the PML-N leader is currently one of the most vocal critics of the regime.
“Arrests expose government’s weakness and desperation,” Bilawal tweeted on Monday.

Rana Sanaullah was arrested over his alleged links with drug-peddlers and banned outfits by the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) from Motorway near Sukheki while he was on his way to Lahore from Faisalabad.
The mobile phones of his security guards were confiscated before his arrest.
Sanaullah, 69, is accused of having contact with drug suppliers. These drug peddlers were in contact with some banned terrorist outfits, according to ANF-Lahore. He is also accused of funding some proscribed organisations.

Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz President, Shehbaz Sharif and Vice-President, Maryam Nawaz alleged Prime Minister Imran Khan to have played a role in the arrest of Punjab chapter President, Rana Sanaullah.
In a series of tweet, the former Chief Minister Punjab, Shehbaz Sharif condemned the arrest and termed it political victimization; the younger Sharif said the state institutions were being harnessed against political rivals by the prime minister.
