Attack on Godil an attempt to sabotage MQM-Fazal dialogue: Farooq Sattar

KARACHI (Staff Report) – Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) senior lawmaker Farooq Sattar on Tuesday said the gun attack on MQM leader Rashid Godil could be an attempt to sabotage the ongoing dialogue between government and the party.

According to media reports Sattar, who is leading MQM’s delegation to hold talks with JUI-F chief Moulana Fazal-ur-Rehman, the attackers could be backed by those who want to see this political process suspended.

He further added that MQM has never been against Karachi operation but it only opposes the political victimization.

Earlier MQM leader Rashid Godil came under attack while returning home after shopping near Buhadar Abad in Karachi. As a result Godil is said to have sustained serious injuries whereas his driver died on spot.
