WASHINTON – US President Donald Trump announced on Tuesday that he had fired national security advisor John Bolton, saying he had disagreed ‘strongly’ with many of his suggestions.
Trump took to Twitter to announce the surprise move and said he had received the resignation of Bolton today.

The tycoon-turned-president said he would name Bolton’s successor next week.
On the other hand, Bolton said he had offered to resign on Monday.

John Bolton was appointed to the post in March 2018 and Trump had announced his appointment through Twitter, the same forum he used today.
