RAWALPINDI (Online) – A football stadium will be constructed in Rawal Chowk area of Rawalpindi with a cost of Rs19 million.
Punjab Chief Minister has accorded approval for the football stadium which will be constructed on 120 kanal of land.
Sources said the chief minister released funds for the project. However, no date has been announced regarding starting of construction work.
Former member of National Assembly Hanif Abbasi said a football stadium for the city is need of time and all the facilities of indoor games will be available at the stadium.
The project will play an important role in promotion of sports specially football in Rawalpindi.
