LAHORE – Pakistan IT company SI Global has designed a Mobile App to track/detect affected patients of COVID-19 in a European country.
The name of the App is Tracrona however the name of the European country could not be disclosed due to the agreement of confidentiality. The company hopes that they will get help from relevant quarters to launch it in Pakistan too.
The App will issue a warning to a user through a buzz notification if a patient of COVID-19 comes to his or her direction. The App will alert its users to keep track of the patients residing within a distance of two kilometers of his or her surroundings.
In this way, a user could take precautionary measures to avoid contracting the patients. Globally, Mobile App of this sort tracing affected patients of Coronavirus is emerging as countries are moving towards smart or soft lockdown from the complete closure of business activities. Further, it will provide a basic database that can provide info to prepare for future disasters if any.
Due to increasing cases of coronavirus, many developed countries are lacking with the facilities of housing patient of coronavirus, hence also series cases are admitted while the rest of the patients are staying their home for recovery and treatment, which could cause the spread of the pandemic in case of any interaction of a person with an affected person of coronavirus.
Using the App, it provides a map based on GPS guiding its users about the safe area or the danger area including the position of affected and suspected patients. The App contains emergency numbers in case of any emergency and urgent assistance is required by the users.
Pakistani IT company developed this App in collaboration with the authorities and its research partner in Germany. The company provides services in the areas of software production and App development to foreign and local clients.
Noman Said, SI Global said that the outbreak of Covid-19 has changed the dynamics of business and economy worldwide and the field of technology is the gainer in the present scenario, and with proper strategy and way forward Pakistan can be in a win-win situation.
Unfortunately, IT in Pakistan is still not on the priority list.
